PLEASE DON'T BE WORRIED

Goin' Down the Ghetto (feat. Killer Gorilla)
After casually browsing the Killer Gorilla website, I found myself inspired by some of the (almost frightening) samples available for download. I thought they would apprieciate a remix as they (and I quote): "aven't goh a CeeDee yeht" so maybe it could be a taste of things to come...?

...maybe not.

THE WAYNE SONG
This Wayne character I have never seen, nor met. His philosophies and theories on life were introduced to me by a friend of mine, Tom - who supplied some of the samples for this song. I created the rest, and although it's not really up to the same standard as the rest - it was my first attempt at 'character tunes' and really, is just here for sentimental value.

ALAN AT FOX'S MUSIC
To this day, Alan at Fox's Music does not know about this - and I'm not sure if he ever will. Maybe after releasing this mp3 someone will play it for him. The story was that he left a message on my answering machine, and the way he said it had so much rhythm to it that it inspired me to write a song. And of course, the best way to credit him for this inspiration was to feature him on it! The moral of this story is - beware of my answering machine.

FEELING BLUE (Nordgibber Mix)
This was a combined effort between Ben and myself - and I still think today it's one of the best tracks I have ever produced. The original song was written by a band called 'Juvenescence' who did the pub circuit a couple of times round Dewsbury.

They were great friends of ours, and me, Ben and everyone else used to just turn up to their gigs just to hear them play 'Feeling Blue'. We did this version for Nordgibber (ask Ben) without any permission whatsoever - but really we didn't use much of the original material because none of us really know the words anyway.

FEELING BLUE(Nuke-ee-lay-lee Mix)
This was another version of Feeling Blue created on the same day as the Nordgibber version, by Ben and myself. If you've read the Nordgibber blurb you'll know where the song came from - and this was the version that we set out to do in the first place before we decided to do the Nordgibber one. Ben turned up on my doorstep one day with his ukulele and bass guitar and said "I can play Feeling Blue" on this - so we mic'ed it up and recorded it. The harmonica was just lying around.

MY PANTS (The Wrong Way Round)
My Pants. The inspiration for this song explains itself - and I think this is a pure example of how much I can't really sing. But nevertheless, I included it anyway as some people were requesting it. The original (D Major) riff came from Nick O'Rourke, and for ages we were playing this riff as a take-the-p**s riff - but then one day...and so on.
